Done my exercises for the day. I can't say I've noticed an improvement yet, but then again I don't expect more than about a 1 diopter improvement by the time 6 weeks are up! So, yeah, I can't expect much yet.
Yesterday afternoon and evening I did think my eyes were hurting/straining a bit more though. I do wonder if it had something to do with the exercise I was giving them. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing ;) Sort of like the way my thigh muscles are aching today because I did squats yesterday afternoon, and I haven't done any for a few weeks! Perhaps eye exercises are the same... my eyes/eye muscles will feel tired for a few days because I've actually worked them.
I've finally got the three cups exercise working properly at the first level. The funny thing is, I can do it the OPPOSITE way easily. Hmm to explain... the image has two "cups" and you have to focus your eyes away from the two cups to create a third cup in the middle (which is three dimensional). At first to do this you are supposed to use a pen to focus on (which is held in front of the card) so you can see the third cup behind the pen. You then have to learn to get the third cup without the pen. That is the first level. It basically involves focusing IN FRONT of the image. In the second level your eyes have to focus BEHIND the image (which makes the cup appear upside down). For me it is super easy to do it the second way. I did it straight away. However, when I did it I thought I was doing it the FIRST way. I didn't understand the difference ;) Until I realised that the cup I was seeing was upside down!
Anyway, today I got the first level right. I'm going to find the second level easier though ;) It is much easier to sort of throw my eyes out of focus to get the centre cup if they're far focussing not near focussing (if that makes sense). Anyway, it is a good exercise... Even once you've got the third cup, you have to take your eyes off the card and do it again and again. Quite a challenge! Hopefully it's helping :)
